General Description of Mayor's office
 
The Mayor is the head of the Executive Branch of Government for the Borough of Clementon. Reporting to the Mayor are Councilmember's and Departments consisting of: Community Services, Environmental/Parks and Playgrounds, Public Buildings, Administration and Finance, Public Affairs, Public Works, Public Safety, Economic Development, and Planning and Zoning.

The direct duties and responsibility of the Mayor is as the chief executive officer of the Borough. The Mayor shall: 

A. Enforce the Charter and ordinances of the borough.
B. Supervise and direct all necessary publicity and public relations functions of the borough.
C. Exercise any act empowered under law to preserve and protect the public health, safety and welfare of the residents.
D. Appoint with the advice and consent of Borough Council, the members of the various boards, commissions and authorities created by law or ordinance.
E. Create advisory bodies which the Mayor deems necessary and convenient and to appoint the members of those advisory bodies.
F. Organize ad hoc committees to perform special projects and supervise tasks not specially assigned to the various departments.
